Halloween for the Whole Family

After the birth of our first child, I couldn’t wait until Halloween. You see, as a child, it was one of my favorite holidays and I wanted to have a child to share that with. As a result of poor planning, our first son was born in December, so I had to wait almost an entire year to dress up our baby.
But when Halloween came around, I was ready. You see, I bought a number of infant Halloween costumes because I wasn’t sure whether we were going to have a boy or a girl. So, I might have gone a little crazy in terms of the number of costumes I bought, but I wanted him to have the perfect one.
That year, my wife decided that she would wear a Dororthy costume and I would wear the same Darth Vader costume that I wore the year before (though she wished I would have worn something different, but I loved being the dark lord).
We took our son and ourselves to the local family Halloween party in town. It was a blast, and William got a lot of candy (which we later ate for him since he was just a toddler). Needless to say, Halloween was and still is a big part of our family.
