When my boyfriend said that we needed to stop by a truck supply store in order to pick up a new tool box for his truck, I figured that it would only take a few minutes. After all, how hard can it be to pick out a truck tool box? It turns out that this type of purchase requires a lot more consideration than I could have guessed.

I had only ever really seen one type of truck tool box so I assumed that there wasn’t a lot of variety to choose from. Boy, was I wrong. There are lots of different types of truck tool boxes to choose from.

For example, my boyfriend spent quite a lot of time looking at trailer tongue tool boxes. These are little boxes that go right on the trailer hitch instead of in the back of the truck. Since he was only going to need to carry extra stuff when he was using the trailer, he thought this might be good. Ultimately, though, he decided on a tool box for the bed of the truck.

As we were driving home, he said that we would probably have to go back after his next paycheck came in. Apparently he wasn’t content with just a truck tool box; he wanted to go back and look at tool totes too!
