A few years back, my best friend and I decided that we were going to spend a year living together in Tampa. We thought it would be fun and exciting to go check out apartments in Tampa Florida together and to spend the year partying it up together in the area. While it was true that we did have a great year filled with a good deal of partying, we had definitely been wrong in thinking that it would be fun to look at Tampa apartments together.

Things started okay. We narrowed down our search so that we were only looking at South Tampa apartments which made the logistics of the apartment hunt a lot easier. But that’s when it came down to the details and we realized that we wanted very different living situations. I liked the party scene but wanted a quiet home; she would’ve been content to let the party continue on all night and even wanted to move in with several additional roommates to make that happen.

Ultimately, we found an apartment that we could both live with. We signed a one-year lease and we managed to live together peacefully throughout most of that time. When the year was up, we went our separate ways with some fond memories of what it was like to live in our Tampa apartment and some relief that we weren’t going to have to live together anymore.
