Make Your Marketing Articles Useful

The best way to make an impression with your marketing articles is to make them useful. Too often I see marketing articles that basically contain 400 words about nothing — just the keyword phrases repeated in different contexts.
These powder puff articles don’t do anything for your business’s image, so you’re pretty much wasting your time. Remember, there are many different goals of article marketing:
- To get more links leading back to your site, i.e., from the article database as well as from other people’s sites when they reprint your articles
- To boost your website’s search engine rankings by increasing your link popularity with high quality links from relevant pages (i.e. pages with your articles on them)
- To establish you and your company as experts in the field by demonstrating your knowledge about the subject
- To create "branding," where people automatically think of your company’s name when they think of the industry, product, or service you deal in
For instance, say you have a company that sells custom rims online. Rather than writing useless marketing articles that simply repeat keyword phrases such as Beyern wheels over and over, you’ll impress more potential customers if you provide information they can use — for example, an article on how to choose MRR wheels for your car. If you provide your target market with information they will be interested in — the kind of things they’ll print out and keep — you’ll be much more likely to win them over as customers at some point down the road.
